BMW Clubs and FEBC
FEBC is the official Umbrella organisation for National BMW Clubs in the UK and Scandinavian countries, and was founded by six clubs within Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. We now represent nine member clubs and have more applications in the pipeline.
Clubs in other countries in Europe are represented by our long established sister organisation BMW Club Europa.
In Europe, to be officially recognised by the International Council of BMW Clubs, general BMW Clubs (those that do not represent just special types or classic cars) must belong to one of the two European umbrella organisations FEBC or BCE.
FEBC uses modern methods of communication such as on line meetings and telephone conferences to get its business done. It provides no direct services to the clubs other than the use of BMW logos, trade marks and documentation. Its officers are volunteers who receive no payment, and its costs are virtually nil. It has been called a "Virtual Umbrella" - hence the symbol in its logo.
Membership is open to all national BMW clubs at the moment in the UK and Scandinavian Countries. As from January 1st 2008, FEBC may well be able to consider applications for membership from other BMW Clubs in Europe. It will also be happy to assist clubs which are not currently part of the official BMW Club scene to become part of that scene.
Helpful information can be found under the menu option "Form a BMW Club" together with application forms to join FEBC for existing National BMW Clubs
